The first Slovak satellite has been launched into the Earth's orbit. It was carried by an Indian rocket and blasted off from the Sriharikota space centre. This took place ten years after the first plans for skCUBE saw the light of day, following five years of development, production and testing, and 18 months of waiting for the launch.
