Prime Minister Robert Fico announced that he accepted the results of the UK election and wished the EU would bring to a suitable conclusion the country's decision to leave its structures. "We should congratulate the winner, the Conservative party ... However, the results show that forming a government will not be that easy," said Fico on Friday. At the same time he expressed his wish for the rest of the EU countries to stick together and thus create a balance to the United Kingdom. According to the Slovak Prime Minister, it would be much worse if the United Kingdom left the EU stronger than an EU member state. "It would be much worse to find out that leaving the EU pays off," added Fico.
