Transport operators oppose foreign legislation

ČESMAD Slovakia or the Association of Road Transport Operators considers the legislation regarding the minimum wage in Germany, France and Austria discriminatory. They reacted to the change in Austrian legislation introducing more bureaucracy. The Slovak professional organisation sees these steps as an effort to eliminate competition and protect the local market. Labour Minister Ján Richter plans to lobby in favour of Slovak road transport operators at the ministerial session in Luxembourg next week.
