The Council of Europe, or more precisely its body called "The Group of States against Corruption", is concerned about the anti-corruption demonstrations taking place in Slovakia. According to the group's chair, Marin Mrčela, it means that there is something wrong within the state and the public is pointing to this problem. At the same time, Mrčela recalls that Slovakia has quite good anti-corruption legislation and it is obvious that the state is trying to fight corruption. Anyway, Slovakia has partly implemented only 60 percent of the recommendations aimed at preventing corruption among members of parliament, and a similar percentage of recommendations aimed at the area of the judiciary.
