Tougher security at events wanted by Slovak National Party

The Slovak National Party (SNS) wishes to push for the inclusion of new security measures in the organisation of cultural events in reaction to the recent terror attacks in the United Kingdom, TASR learnt from a press conference by SNS leader and Parliamentary Chairman Andrej Danko on Tuesday. The extra safeguards are envisaged to be included in a bill amending the Act on Cultural Events, which goes back all the way to 1991. "We'll come up with proposed measures that will apply to cultural events, where several levels and regimes will determine the range of rules that the organiser will be obliged to observe," said Danko. The rules to be determined include the minimum number of security force personnel and the required coordination of security forces.
