In an interview with the Denník N newspaper, Slovakia's Head School Inspector Viera Kalmárová revealed she had carried out a survey of pupils' attitudes and how their views affect the reception of facts. According to research results, pupils' attitudes towards human rights, minorities, and tolerance towards other nations are deteriorating. When asked by the paper if mobs of extremists are growing up in Slovak schools, Kalmárová responded that, "The term extremism has been so overused it now looks like part of the Newspeak of modern times with empty content".
