The Parliamentary Conflicts of Interest Committee on Tuesday terminated proceedings against President Andrej Kiska. According to a complaint lodged by Smer-SD and the Slovak National Party, the president took his daughter to Poland on board a Government charter flight. He also participated in a ceremony involving the laying of a foundation stone of a skyscraper that is set to be built by a company that employs Kiska's daughter. The Interior Ministry confirmed that the President's daughter wasn't among the passengers on the aircraft. As for laying the foundation stone, Andrej Kiska argued that similar activities are often on the agendas of foreign visits as part of economic diplomacy. The parliamentary committee claims that the subject of a complaint has not been confirmed as true, thus rendering the proceedings moot.
