The Slovak ice-hockey team has lost its last game at the world championships and left for home empty handed. After losing 2:4 against Sweden, they ranked 14th. This is the worst ever rank of a Slovak team in its history. Despite its unfortunate swan song, Slovakia remains in the elite A-category.
