On Friday, the American company Amazon presented its future logistics centre in Sereď, Trnava region, which should employ 1,000 people within the next three years, reported TASR. The centre's operation should be launched this autumn. The company's vice-president for Europe, Roy Perticucci, believes that the Sereď centre will help to satisfy growing customer demand and provide necessary services, adding that it will be the largest and the most modern of the company's centres dealing with both software and hardware solutions. Economy Minister Peter Žiga stressed that the company had not applied for any investment stimuli from the Government and by its decision to come to Slovakia, it had confirmed Slovakia's position in the top league in terms of foreign investors' interest.
