Slovaks Prefer Traditional Christmas Gifts

Slovaks Prefer Traditional Christmas Gifts

Compared to the neighbouring the Czech Republic, 79 percent of Slovaks prefer to give traditional gifts such as books, electronics, and toys as Christmas gifts, while 44 percent of Czechs prefer to give vouchers or even cash, according to a survey performed by Profi Credit Marketing recently.

Forty-seven percent of the respondents in the Czech Republic said that they buy Christmas presents during the year, while 37 percent do so in December. One in fourteen Czechs hits the shops on Christmas Eve, while 8 percent of those asked don't give any presents at all. An even bigger penchant for traditional presents was observed in Poland and Bulgaria - 89 and 87 percent, respectively.
