Agriculture Ministry to support regions via local action groups

The Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry on Tuesday signed a memorandum on raising funds to support public-private partnerships (PPPs), according to which an initially allocated €200 million will be boosted by another €60 million, the ministry's spokesman Vladimir Machalík told TASR on the same day. The extra money is conditioned on the positive development in implementing both the Integrated Regional Operational Programme (IROP) and the Rural Development Programme (RDP), added Machalík. "The inking of the memorandum is more proof of our consistent approach towards promoting public-private partnerships. We'll thus support the creation of new jobs and the growth of living standards throughout Slovakia," stated Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Gabriela Matečná while signing the memorandum with Prime Minister Robert Fico and ZMOS chairman Michal Sýkora in attendance.
