The Japanese company MinebeaMitsumi is to build an engineering and electronic industry plant in Košice worth at least €60 million and provide jobs to 1,100 people, making the investment one of the most significant business activities in the region. Operations at the plant will be launched in the first quarter of 2018. Meanwhile, the Government is due to debate the company's request for state investment assistance amounting to €20 million.
