The Economy Ministry introduced on Thursday its first package of measures to reduce red tape for businessmen and simplify business itself in Slovakia. "The package includes 34 measures that should reduce costs for businessmen by €44 million and will apply to all businessmen," Economy Minister Peter Žiga told a news conference. The measures have been divided into five groups. They concern public administration services, increasing competitiveness, the hiring of employees, as well as taxes and business support. Žiga pointed to the fact that the draft measures are the result of a wide consensus between central state administration authorities, institutions and the business sector's representatives. "We want to help businessmen in every field. We are already working on preparing the second package," said Žiga, adding that this should be presented in the first quarter of 2018 and will be followed by the third one eight months later.
