Following the controversy with opening letters addressed to MPs by employees of the National Council, the head of the Parliament Office Daniel Guspan suspended on Wednesday the effectiveness of two orders from the original instructions. These were issued on April 7 and were aimed at securing the handling of deliveries in connection with the occurrence of correspondence containing dangerous materials. Guspan suspended the regulation on "the opening of ordinary letters addressed to a Member of Parliament, which do not have the sender's name or where the sender is a natural person". He also suspended the regulation on putting aside letters containing vulgarisms or of a degrading character, without registration and their delivery to the addressee.
