In 2016, the Slovak National Museum (SNM) attracted a total of 1,001,367 visitors nationwide; an increase of more than 60,000 compared to the year beforehand. This was announced by Musuem Director Branislav Panis on Tuesday (25-4). For the first time, the most visited SNM site was Spiš Castle, which had 209,104 visitors. Behind that was Bojnice Castle with 200,126 visitors, and in third place was the historical museum within Bratislava Castle with 91,430 visitors.
