Slovaks should reconsider travelling to certain regions of Tunisia unless inevitable, reads a recommendation issued by the Foreign Ministry last week. The ministry informs citizens that the African country is currently in a state of emergency, aimed at enabling local law enforcement agencies to effectively fight terrorism. In spite of this state, the Foreign Ministry does not see any negative impact on freedom of movement or other restrictions for tourists, however, it advises Slovaks in Tunisia to be more cautious, to follow the media to be informed about current security developments, avoid mass gatherings and follow the instructions of the local security services.
