Miroslav Beblavý, Jozef Mihál, and five more non-affiliated MPs are founding a new political party. The daily Denník N brought the information on Wednesday specifying that the independent MPs plan to set up a party within a year. Though they still do not have a name for it, they have already won further supporters. "We agreed that Slovakia lacks a political force that would represent people in the way we want to represent them," Beblavý told the daily, adding that the party would represent both liberal and conservative voters. Miroslav Beblavý´s latest political affiliation was within #Sieť party, which he left when #Sieť became part of the ruling coalition with SMER-SD in spring 2016. Jozef Mihál, former Labour Minister, used to be a member of the opposition Freedom and Solidarity party.
