The demand for cultural events increased last year, according to a national survey carried out by the agency Median SK. Whereas 41 percent of Slovaks purchased tickets to theatrical performances, musical concerts and art exhibitions in 2015, this figure went up to 44 percent last year. In 2015, Slovaks spent €4-8 monthly on cultural events on average, with the sum doubling last year. Visitor turnout at cinemas went up too as 35 percent of respondents, declaring that they saw a movie at the cinema at least once last year.
