Gas companies Snam (Italy), Eustream (Slovakia) and Naftogaz and Ukrtransgaz (Ukraine) signed a memorandum of understanding concerning joint evaluations of opportunities for collaboration in the operation and further development of the gas network in Ukraine, according to the TASR press agency. In addition, the document is designed to maintain the quality of natural gas transmission in Ukraine in line with the standards of the European gas market. This should ensure that the Ukrainian gas transmission system is operated safely and efficiently and is accessible on a transparent and non-discriminatory third-party-access basis, in keeping with applicable laws.
