The coalition Smer-SD MP Stanislav Kubánek will pay a fine totalling €24,000 for violating the constitutional law on conflicts of interest for not having suspended his trade licence for several years and for being the managing director of a company at the same time, according to a decision issued by the parliamentary committee for the incompatibility of posts on Thursday. Kubánek discovered his error of failing to suspend his licence and also being registered as a legal representative of a firm while exercising his MP mandate on his own while carrying out regular checks of his administrative formalities. He informed the committee and repeatedly stated that he was ready to bear the consequences for his mistakes.
