The far-right Kotleba-People's Party Our Slovakia has set up a Club for Slovaks Living Abroad, wrote TASR on Sunday. As Vladimir Skalský, chairman of the World Association of Slovaks Living Abroad said, the party is thus trying to politicize the environment of Slovaks living abroad describing the move as a dangerous precedent. "It's logical that we have to object to entities that have intolerance, hatred against minorities and xenophobia as fundamental components of their ideology," said Skalský. Meanwhile, the party's vice-chairman Milan Uhrík reacted to this statement by claiming that his party decided in late March to set up the association in order to meet demands by Slovaks living abroad and denied all accusations. Uhrík also claims that the party received hundreds of e-mails for membership applications within two days of setting up the club.
