The mood in the Slovak economy improved in October. It increased from September’s figure by 1.9 points, according to the Statistics Office. All components of the economic sentiment index namely industry, construction sector, trade, services and consumers bolstered its growth.
However, the indicator is 0.4 points below the level posted in the same period last year and lags behind the long-term average by 12.2 points. In October people were less pessimistic regarding expected unemployment and the development of the Slovak economy.
