Since the United Kingdom announced on Wednesday that it was triggering Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, its exit from the European Union may mean a duty for Slovakia to contribute additional tens of millions of euros to the EU budget. Specific budgetary impacts, however, will depend on several factors. Slovakia is among those countries of the European Union which will be economically most impacted by Brexit.
