The police will examine statements made by MP Milan Uhrík (People's Party Our Slovakia/ĽSNS) on the public broadcaster RTVS's programme 'O 5 minút 12' (Five Minutes to Twelve) on Sunday (March 26). MPs Ondrej Dostál and Viera Dubačová, Conservative Party's vice-chair Juraj Petrovič and Bratislava city councillor Lucia Štasselová filed a criminal complaint against Uhrík in connection to his statements on "the need to protect white children". "We suspect he might have committed the crime of establishing, supporting and promoting a movement aimed at suppressing fundamental rights and freedoms, or expressing sympathy for a movement aimed at suppressing fundamental rights and freedoms," said Dostál. He pointed to a statement where Uhrík advocates the need to protect the future of white children. Dostál and other submitters of the motion drew attention to the racist background of this idea and its connection to neo-Nazism.
