The growing volume of new orders for industry in Slovakia continued also in the beginning of 2017. According to the data from the Statistical Office, new orders in January amounted to 3.782 billion euros and thus grew y-o-y by 6.7%. However, when compared to December, the volume dropped by two percentage points, to 4.3%. For the entire year of 2016 industrial companies in Slovakia registered new orders for 48.46 billion euros, which is an increase of 6.1% compared to 2015.
