Special school teaching materials as prevention against extremism

The Nation's Memory Institute (UPN) will cooperate with the State Pedagogical Institute (SPN) to examine documents from 1939-1945 and 1945-1989 for schools as a measure to prevent extremism, their directors announced after a meeting on Monday. The announcement came a day before March 14th, the date when the controversial first independent Slovakia, a Nazi puppet state, was established in 1939. The materials deal with, for example, the Holocaust, the deportation of Slovaks to Soviet gulags and the Velvet Revolution of 1989.
