The National Crime Agency (NAKA) has discovered and shut down a drug-production laboratory by Zemplinska Sirava Lake (Košice region), Police Corps Presidium spokesman Michal Slivka said in a statement on Thursday. The raid and subsequent securing of evidence lasted 25 hours and saw the participation of 80 police officers.
The laboratory was probably the largest in central Europe, said Slivka.”One of the buildings at the cottage area in Zemplinska Sirava contained an indoor laboratory for marijuana production,” added the spokesman. Police seized 500 grams of the drug, five submachine guns and laboratory equipment. The police haven't press charges against anyone at this stage.
