Last week, Slovakia managed to sell a 20-year bond for €2 billion. As Deputy Finance Minister Radko Kuruc said, this is historically the highest price for a bond issued by a country from central or eastern Europe. "Over 120 investors showed an interest in buying the bond, mainly from Europe. The demand exceeded €3 billion, which is unique. Eventually, the Debt and Liquidity Management Agency accepted the 2 billion offer with interest below 2%," explained Kuruc.
