Since the departure of the UK from the EU will be a complicated process, the Foreign and European Affairs Ministry has decided to convene an inter-ministerial coordination mechanism to deal with coordinating Slovakia's position in the Brexit negotiations. "We do not underestimate the difficulties surrounding the negotiations. Each ministry will carry out an overview of valid legislation in its area to avoid underestimating anything," stated the Foreign Ministry's state secretary Ivan Korčok. He also mentioned that following the official notification of the Brexit process on the part of the UK, which is expected to take place in mid-March, an extraordinary EU Summit devoted to Brexit will be held, probably on April 6.
