The Slovak Labour Ministry is planning to spend over €100 million to support the foundation of social enterprises in the country, said the Deputy Minister Branislav Ondruš, from the largest governing party SMER-SD on Tuesday. As SITA wrote, the first form of financing should be in the form of returnable financial help via state investment holdings. "We have €72 million ready from the Operational Human Resources Program," said Ondruš. In April 2016, when the first plans for social enterprises occurred, the employment institute warned of possible risks. "In the case of improper realisation, the enterprises could not only miss their original aim, but could also open a door to corruption, as it was during the era of Viera Tomanová," wrote Trend magazine, citing the institute, which referred to the 2006-2010 period, when Viera Tomanová of the SMER-SD was the Labour Minister.
