The Slovak hydrometeorological institute warns of strong wind in the country over the coming days. For Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday a second degree wind alert was issued for high altitude areas in the High and Low Tatras where its speed could peak at 145km per hour. For Tuesday, the institute issued a first degree wind alert for the whole of Slovakia, warning of wind speeds peaking at 85km per hour.
