Police to investigate financing of Slovak Presidency of EU Council

The National Crime Agency (NAKA) will look into the financing of Slovakia's Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of last year, the sme.sk website reported on Monday. The police are reportedly examining potential "suspicions of a crime involving the violation of obligations related to managing entrusted property," wrote the site, adding that the Police Corps President's Office has confirmed the information. NAKA wants to focus its investigation on cultural events, including the event at which Slovakia's EU presidency logo was presented.
