Inspectors from the Labour Ministry will check firms, which give jobs to foreign employees, wrote the aktuality.sk website on Monday, citing Labour Minister Ján Richter. The step is a reaction to released information about inadequate working conditions for Serbs in the Samsung factory in the western Slovak town of Galanta. The minister said that he will meet the Serbian ambassador in Slovakia with the intention of signing a memorandum, which would allow the exchange of information between the labour inspectorates of both countries.
