Munich Security Conference also on the new role of Western Balkans

The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Miroslav Lajčák travelled to Munich on Thursday, 16 February, to attend the Munich Security Conference. The conference agenda will focus on the future of transatlantic relations and NATO after the election of Donald Trump, the state of EU cooperation in security and defence matters, the Ukraine crisis and relations with Russia, the war in Syria, and the security situation in the Asia-Pacific, including in the Korean peninsula. The Foreign Minister for Slovakia will speak at the panel "The Future of Euro-Atlantic security - The New Role of the Western Balkans". Miroslav Lajčák's two-day programme in Munich also features a series of bilateral meetings with partners, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Pavlo Klimkin, and the head of Russian diplomacy, Sergey Lavrov.
