Firefighters were called out to the US Embassy in Bratislava on Thursday afternoon, TASR learnt from an eyewitness on the same day. The eyewitness saw three fire engines behind the embassy's security fence. He noticed them for the first time at 3 p.m., and they were still there at 5 p.m. Police officers were present as well. No smoke was visible in the area, however. The fire brigade's operational centre declined to comment on the incident, referring journalists to the embassy.
