Slovak President Andrej Kiska has discussed the current situation in Ukraine by telephone with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko. During the conversation Poroshenko drew attention to the grave humanitarian situation in parts of the country, as well as to the continuing attacks mounted by pro-Russian separatists, which complicate the efforts to resolve the situation. Andrej Kiska reiterated that Slovakia hasn't forgotten about Ukraine and underlined the need for the international community to pay adequate attention to developments there. Without an end to armed conflict, Ukraine can't continue successfully with its reforms and restoration of the country, TASR learnt from the president's communications advisor Roman Krpelan.
