Radio Slovakia International now broadcasting with DAB+

The foreign broadcast service of the Slovak Republic, Radio Slovakia International, has added Digital Audio Broadcasting to its transmission methods in selected cities across Slovakia. In 2015 Radio and Television Slovakia (RTVS) reached a deal with transmission company Towercom to broadcast material terrestrially within the digital format, with Radio Slovakia International now being included, sharing broadcast time with sister station Radio Patria. DAB+ listeners within the Slovak Republic will now be able to hear shows broadcast daily from Radio Slovakia International in English, French, Russian, Spanish, German and Slovak, covering current events within the country. Radio Slovakia International's shows rotate daily on DAB+ in six languages from 18:00 to 06:00 at a bit rate of 112 kbps, covering the cities of Bratislava, Košice, Nitra and Banská Bystrica.
