Positively influencing the safety and flow of traffic while also disciplining its participants is the goal of a Bratislava region-wide police operation taking place on Thursday (02/02). During this monitoring endeavour, police officers will focus primarily on compliance with the Road Traffic Act, in particular by drivers. This was announced by Spokesperson of the Regional Police Directorate in Bratislava Michal Szeiff. Regarding traffic violations, police are no longer required to stop and fine drivers on the spot, with amended rules allowing officers to fine the registered owner of the vehicle via post.
