Full-time employees in Slovakia worked 152.7 hours per month on average in the second quarter of 2013, according to the statistics compiled by TREXIMA Bratislava Company. The survey also revealed that men spend more time at work a month (154.2 hours) than women (151 hours).
“There are many reasons for this. Men usually work more overtime, while women often have to hurry home, where other duties related to child care and household management await them,” said TREXIMA Bratislava analyst Jozef Krabac. “The situation is different for part-time employees. They worked an average of 99.4 hours per month,” said Krabac, adding that women working part-time work more on average than men. While female part-time workers spend 102.5 hours per month at work, men only work for 92.2 hours.
