A new investment of the Slovak entrepreneur Jan Sabol in the production of second generation biofuels has the distinction of being the first of its kind in Europe, according to the Hospodarske Noviny daily. A subsidiary of the Envien Group wants to build a biofuel plant in Leopoldov (Trnava region) and employ hundreds of people. "It will manufacture second generation biofuels from straw. The investment in construction work is estimated at €110-140 million," the Envien Group's strategic consultant and executive director Peter Kostik told the daily.
