Slovakia will send 152 soldiers to Latvia as part of a joint training mission of the Visegrad Four (V4) countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) in the Baltic States. The soldiers should serve in Latvia from April to June. "The V4 training mission should help to ensure the Alliance is able to use its full capabilities in the region," says the Defence Ministry's explanatory report. The deployment of Slovak soldiers to the Baltics still needs to be green-lighted by the Cabinet.
