Aggressive individuals who stop at the nearest pub immediately after being released from hospital have been burdening the Slovak health care system for several years. This was reported in the SME daily on Tuesday. Municipalities, medics and police officers have repeatedly tried to highlight the lack of sobering-up stations for people like this. "Unfortunately, these 'patients' are often placed in rooms together with seriously ill patients," said gastroenterologist Jozef Klucho. The Health Ministry claims it is aware of the problem, however, it has neither the money nor people needed to solve it.
