Volleys fired in honour of the foundation of the Slovak Republic

On Sunday January 1^st., 20 artillery volleys were fired on the Tyršovo Embankment by the Danube in Bratislava to mark the 24^th anniversary of the establishment of the Slovak republic. The ceremonial volleys were fired by the Artillery brigade from Rožňava, eastern Slovakia. Defence Minister Peter Gajdoš, said that firing of the volleys links the history of our armed forces with the present.
