Slovakia Fails to Enforce Law in Business Environment

Slovak Trade and Industry Chamber (SOPK) chairman Peter Mihok says that Slovakia is not making any significant progress in improving the business environment in terms of enforcement of the law. “Unfortunately, it needs to be said that Slovakia is losing the fight completely here.

Some steps regarding the judicial power were taken too early and it's now hitting us in the back like a boomerang," claimed Mihok. Although he believes Slovakia changed for the better having established companies that can operate also on the foreign market, the country has made several steps backwards. “The last measures of the Slovak Government have worsened some parameters of the business environment. I say purposely 'the last measures', as I hope there won't be more to come,” added Mihok, without specifying which measures he was referring to.
