As of next year the Trnava-based factory of PSA Peugeot Citroen will introduce a special weekend shift. Approximately 800 people will work only on Saturdays and Sundays. So far only 30% of the new positions have been filled. Recruiting unemployed people from all over Slovakia via labour offices failed to fulfil the company's expectations. From January, approximately 200 long-term unemployed will be retrained in the factory. New workers will of course also be recruited from abroad.
