Agriculture ministry launching new projects worth €158.4 M

The Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry is launching calls for three new projects worth €158.4 million from the Integrated Regional Operational Programme (IROP) that are designed for primary and secondary schools and for the construction of cycling paths, stated Agriculture Minister Gabriela Matečná (a Slovak National Party/SNS nominee) at a press conference in Bratislava on Wednesday. Matečná further explained that the first package worth €35.6 million for primary schools will be used for constructing and improving the technical equipment of school libraries and language and other specialised classrooms. The second project worth €98.8 million for secondary schools is aimed at increasing the number of secondary vocational school students in practical training, while the third project worth €24 million is designed to increase the attractiveness and capacity of non-motorised transport, especially cycling.
