Almost a half of Slovak high school students want to apply for a place at a Czech university, reported the SITA press agency citing data from the 'Scio' education company. According to an opinion poll accompanying the company's test of general study skills, the most popular degree subject was economics, which appealed to 18% of students, followed by 14% preferring studies in the field of medicine and 11% aiming to study IT. At the other end of the scale, the least popular subjects with young people are agriculture, social care, maths and physics. The survey was carried out in October and November this year with almost 3,400 students taking part.
