The number of cocaine users in Slovakia is increasing. The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction reported the finding from a research project based on analysing traces in wastewater. The two locations with the highest levels of cocaine in waste water are Bratislava and Piestany in south-west Slovakia. Poorer parts of Slovakia prefer cheaper drugs such as the solvent toluene. Its highest level was detected in Filakovo, in south Slovakia.
