Celtic Bratislava exhibition opens

An exhibition devoted to the ancient Celtic heritage of what is now the Slovak capital Bratislava has been inaugurated at the city's castle. It features a number of significant archaeological findings at Bratislava castle of Roman buildings erected by Celts who inhabited the area at the time. "The visitor gets the impression that Bratislava was already an amazing city 2000 years ago. It had a large population, it had its own acropolis, it was fortified and it produced remarkable handicrafts," curator Margaréta Musilová told TASR news agency. Earlier this year the exhibition was on show at the Italian city of Perugia, twinned with Bratislava.
