The Speakers of the parliaments of the Visegrad four countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) agreed that the states will increase their cooperation: they will exchange information and try to unify policies in an attempt to show citizens that they care about their everyday problems. The statesmen met at an informal meeting in the Polish city of Przemysl on Sunday. Slovak Speaker of Parliament Andrej Danko said after the meeting that the countries will call on their news agencies to monitor the steps the governments take more intensively, vis-a-vis the EU. TASR general director Jaroslav Rezník said that the agency will continue to follow the principles according to which it produces the news: independence, objectivity, authenticity, accuracy, brevity and matter-of-factness. "If any of the information about the prepared intensification of cooperation violate any of these attributes, TASR will openly inform the public about it," added Rezník.
